“Music, once admitted to the soul, becomes a sort of spirit, and never dies.”
― Edward Bulwer Lytton
The Acoustic Conditions
- is a collaborative photographic series born from an emotional and artistic response to the haunting, internal architecture of musical instruments.
Originally inspired by the Romanian artist Adrian Borda’s macro photographs of instrument interiors, I envisioned these spaces as metaphors for the human psyche — cavernous, resonant, at once claustrophobic and sublime.
This work explores how inner landscapes can mirror mental states: trauma, anxiety, dissociation, and the fragile hope that persists through darkness. Each composition places the body inside these resonant chambers — becoming one with the instrument, the echo, the vibration.
Through these images, I reflect on the blurred threshold between music and emotion, between spatial confinement and psychological release.
