Gazelle Pezeshkmehr is an award-winning visual artist based in Norway, specializing in staged and conceptual photography. Since 2018, she has developed a distinctive practice that merges photography with digital painting to create immersive, surrealist worlds exploring themes of identity, trauma, and spirituality.

Gazelle studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague (Autonomous Department) and Einar Granum College of Fine Arts in Oslo, where she cultivated a strong conceptual foundation. After a prolonged illness, she found her artistic voice anew through photography, using it as a powerful tool for healing and expression.

Enlightenment 2022

Her work constructs dreamlike scenarios that navigate the complexities of the human psyche, often blurring the boundaries between dreams and reality. Through layered imagery, metaphor, and symbolism, Gazelle examines the resilience of the mind and the shifting nature of consciousness.

Gazelle's art has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions internationally, including in Norway, The Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Australia, and the United States. Her works are part of private collections, including that of prominent Norwegian art collector Christian Ringnes. She is also the official visual artist for Fluktfestivalen, an annual festival addressing the global refugee crisis.
