Beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.

The field of wrongdoings & rightdoings
“Beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.”
— Rumi
The Field is a visual meditation on survival, memory, and the emotional topography of the human spirit. Inspired by Rumi’s sacred verses, this ongoing series situates the artist’s own body in vast, open landscapes — where inner wars are fought, mourned, and transcended.
In recent years, my practice has undergone a radical shift — from externally driven narratives to intimate self-inquiry. As someone who has endured a prolonged, immobilizing depressive episode, I often find myself astonished by the quiet ferocity of my own survival instinct. Nature has become my companion and my witness. It is in stillness — when the pulse slows and silence deepens — that I begin to hear the universe again.
This field is both battlefield and sanctuary. It holds the shadows of my defeats and the radiance of my recoveries. These photographs are not simply landscapes; they are monuments to the internal warfare of mental illness, and testaments to the resilience that follows.
Each image acts as a chapter in an unwritten memoir — a way to reconstruct events, question their meaning, and honour the flexibility of the self. Through visual storytelling, I explore how personal history becomes shared language. How one story of endurance might illuminate another’s.
The Field asks: How do we navigate the invisible wars within us? What is the role of grace in survival? And what if healing isn’t linear — but sacredly cyclical?
